Black Ops JKD

Black Ops Jeet Kune Do is almost a sub-system that compliments our other adult programs. Sifu Dan originally developed this program with security officers in mind. Due to his college years of working weekend security for bars and clubs in New York City. This is doesn’t mean it’s not for the civilian, it really prepares you for the reality of combat outside of the studio. Most fights tend to occur on the street. We practice on different terrain from grass, sand, concrete, gravel, in the snow, in the rain, on hills, on steps and more. We simulate mass attack/ multiple opponents, improvised weapons, when to turn on and off your “killer instinct” and much more. A smaller person can become capable of defending themselves against a much larger person quickly and efficiently using some of the most brutal tools in hand to hand combat, limb destructions, head butts, knee’s, elbows and Kinamutai (the Filipino art of biting, eye gouging, finger breaking and pinching). We train in blunt and edged weapons as well as improvised weapons. We maintain the principles and concepts of simplicity, directness, efficiency and adaptability.

This curriculum is heavily rooted in Paul Vunak’s Progressive Fighting Systems/ Contemporary JKD. Particularly in his Rapid Assaults Tactics (RAT) program.  It was developed by Sifu Paul specifically for the US Navy Seals as a primary combative program developed by Paul using the principles and concepts of Jeet Kune Do.The RAT curriculum was taught to Special Forces, Military, Marines, Rangers, F.B.I, D.E.A, C.I.A, S.W.A.T. Teams, over 50 police Departments in the U.S and other countries. The RAT is the one of the core concepts within Contemporary JKD. We also draw from Wing Chun, Jun Fan Gung Fu, Wei Kuen Do and the Filipino Martial Arts.
